Coding Nature - Introduction to Processing
An exciting workshop to learn how to code by replicating algorithms found in nature.
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED!
When creating this workshop our team got together to reflect on how we started coding.
It is not necessarily an easy task, and we believe one learns by doing. The main principles will be introduced along the way, while we create exciting algorithms and shapes that are found in nature. We will use Processing, a programming language based on Java, ideal for creative coding.
We want to provide you with an extensive toolset, and we want you to deeply understand the most of it. All four members of TypeMe_ will be present to personally assist you on every step of your coding journey. By the end, you'll have a solid foundation to start building your own sketches and tools.
During the twelve hours spread over two days here's what we'll cover:
- Create an interactive Kaleidoscope
- Data structure
- Control flow
- User's Input
- Implement the Superformula
- Math operations
- Arrays & indexing
- Primitives and PShapes
- OOP and Classes
Date: 14th & 15th of January from 10:00 to 18:00
Location: Central London, exact location to be confirmed
A full documentation package was written by our team specifically for this workshop which will be sent to you soon after purchasing your ticket.
